Last night's launch of Costas Lapavitsas's new book, The Left Case Against the EU, was a phenomenal success. The room was packed, with many people sitting on the floor, and dozens more viewing the event via live stream in an overflow room. The publisher has been through three print runs and all copies have been sold out. There was a lively debate and the huge turnout suggests that there is enormous appetite for left critique of, and leadership against, the EU.
If you missed the event, it was live-tweeted and you can view a video of the whole thing here, kindly made by Costas's students. Alternatively, another launch will be held at Housman's bookshop in London on Saturday evening (tickets required).
Finally, you can check out a review of the book by TFB supporter George Hoare.
